Many of the ferry partners we work with offer the option for passengers to travel with their pets. This article will explain how to add a pet to your booking and answer some common queries about adding a pet to your booking.

Please be aware that availability for pet travel may be limited during busy seasons.


How can I add my pet to a booking?

If you are making a new booking then you can add your pet in the same way you add passengers. Our booking system will display dropdown boxes where you can select the type of pet and the number of pets you want to add. If you are travelling with a pet that is not listed on our booking system, such as a ferret, please contact us for further assistance.

Why is the option to add my pet not available when making a new booking?

If the option to add a pet is not displayed, this either means that pets are not permitted on the route you want to book, or that pets must be added after your booking is confirmed. Please check the help article of the ferry partner you want to travel with to see if pets are permitted on the route. If they are, please contact us so we can discuss adding your pet.

How can I add my pet to an existing booking?

You can add your pet to an existing booking by changing the booking via your account. If this does not work, or if you need further assistance, please contact us and we will discuss adding the pet to your booking.


What happens after my pet has been added to my booking?

Please double check your confirmation document to ensure that your pet is confirmed on your booking. If there are any discrepancies in your confirmation document please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist you.

Do I have to add my pet to my booking or can I just turn up on the day?

The majority of the ferry partners we work with require pets to be booked in advance. If you arrive at the port with an unbooked pet then you may be refused travel. We suggest reviewing the guidelines by visiting our ferry partner article collection. If the ferry partner permits unbooked pets then this will be clearly stated.

Why was there no option to book a kennel or pet-friendly cabin for my pet?

Our booking system will display the available pet accommodations on the sailing you want to book. Some ferry partners offer multiple options while others may only offer one.

Can I upgrade the pet accommodation on my booking?

Upgrading the pet accommodation on your booking is subject to the travel options available on the sailing and the level of availability at the time of your request. Please contact us so we can discuss upgrade options and pricing.
