As of 31/08/25, AFerry Travel Insurance can no longer be purchased with your ferry booking. If you wish to purchase travel insurance, you will need to arrange this independently.
If you purchased AFerry Travel Insurance before 31/08/25, your policy remains valid, and you can refer to the details in this article.
Please note: AFerry now offers Koala Cancel for Any Reason, which allows you to cancel your booking for any reason. This is not travel insurance, and coverage is limited to the booking cancellation only. For full travel protection, you will still need to arrange separate travel insurance.
If you wish to add insurance to your booking after confirmation, you must contact the insurer directly. This process cannot be handled through AFerry, and you will need to arrange this independently.
The AFerry Travel Insurance Policy is underwritten by AWP P&C SA and is administered by Allianz Global Assistance.
Please refer to your specific policy documents for any information about what is covered, as well as any contact details to make any changes. If your booking does not include insurance, it may be due to a confirmation issue with the insurer. In such cases, you can still purchase insurance separately by contacting the insurer after your booking is confirmed. Additionally, insurance documents such as proof of coverage can be found in your AFerry account or in the booking confirmation email. These documents are not included on your ferry ticket.
