Information about my Color Line crossing

What time is check-in? When do I need to check in?

The latest check-in times are as follows:

  • Kiel - Oslo: Check-in closes 120 minutes before departure for vehicles and 60 minutes before departure for foot passengers.

  • Denmark - Norway: Check-in closes 60 minutes before departure for vehicles and foot passengers.

  • Sandefjord - Strömstad: Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure for vehicles and foot passengers.

To help you find the port for your ferry, here are the port addresses for Color Line:

  • Port of Hirtshals: Color Line AS, Fergeterminalen Norgeskajen 2, 9850 Hirtshals

Can I travel with my pet on a Color Line crossing?

Color Line permits passengers to travel with pets (including guide dogs and assistance dogs) on all routes except for the 2-day cruise to Oslo. There are two ways that pets can travel: in your vehicle or in a crate in a designated place on the ship. The availability of these options depends on the route and whether you will be travelling with a vehicle.
