Women who are more than six months (24 weeks) pregnant may travel only if they present a medical certificate confirming they are fit to travel. This certificate must be issued within seven days prior to departure. For high-risk pregnancies, a medical certificate is required regardless of how far along the pregnancy is. Travel is not permitted if the expected due date falls within seven days after departure, or if the passenger has given birth within the seven days prior to departure. The Master of the ship also reserves the right to refuse boarding at their sole discretion if the passenger’s condition or any other circumstance indicates that it may not be safe for her to undertake the journey.
