Our services remain suspended until 01/05/2022 on the Dover - Calais route, however, we have secured space with DFDS. Please call us on 01304 44 88 88 and we will rebook you. Alternatively, if you do not wish to travel, please email help@poferries.com and we will process a refund for you.

England Update 24/02/22

All testing requirements have now been removed for eligible fully vaccinated arrivals into England, with only a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) now being required.

Arrivals who are not recognised as fully vaccinated will only need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before day 2 after they arrive in the UK, as well as filling out the PLF. They will not need to self-isolate on arrival. If the test result is positive or unclear, you should follow public health advice. Find out more by visiting the gov.uk site.

Netherlands update 17/02/22

From 25 February, the mandatory quarantine requirement for all travellers from the UK will be lifted, but pre-departure testing requirements will remain regardless of vaccination status. Passengers will need to have either a negative PCR test taken no more than 48 hours before departure, or an antigen negative test (Not NHS) result taken no more then 24 hours before departure. All travellers will still need to show a completed quarantine declaration form.

France Update 14/02/22

From the 12th February 2022, French Entry Requirements will be changing. Vaccinated travellers will now be able to enter France without the need to present a negative PCR or antigen test result before travel. You will still need to provide proof of vaccination and a sworn statement as per entry requirements before this change. Ireland Update 12/01/2022

From 6th January 2022, passengers travelling to Ireland with: an accepted proof of vaccination, or proof of recovery from COVID-19 in the prior 6 months do not have to show an additional pre-departure COVID-19 test result. Passengers without proof of vaccination, or proof of recovery from COVID-19 in the prior 6 months, must show evidence of a negative ('not detected') RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior to arriving in Ireland.

The latest check in times are as follows:

  • Dover to Calais - vehicle check in closes 45 minutes prior to departure, and 60 minutes prior to departure for foot passengers or those travelling with pets.

  • Hull to Rotterdam/Zeebrugge - check-in closes 90 minutes prior to departure for all passengers.

  • Cairnryan to Larne - check-in closes 30 minutes prior to departure for vehicles, 45 minutes prior to departure for foot passengers or those travelling with pets, and 60 minutes prior to departure for passengers in need of special assistance or those with firearms.

  • Dublin to Liverpool - check in closes 60 minutes prior to departure for vehicles, foot passengers, and those in need of special assistance. For those travelling with firearms, check in closes 90 minutes before departure.
