What time is check-in When do I need to check in?

  • Foot passengers: Check-in opens 4 hours before departure time and closes 1 hour before departure time.

  • Vehicle passengers: Check-in opens 4 hours before departure time and closes 90 minutes before departure time.

You must have a copy of your ticket before you check-in.

Are there any luggage restrictions when travelling with Algérie Ferries?

Foot passengers are limited to two pieces of luggage (suitcase up to 60 x 50cm) and one backpack. Prohibited items include motorcycles, bicycles, household appliances, and furniture.

Can I travel with my pet on an Algerie Ferries crossing?

Algerie Ferries permits passengers to travel with pets (including guide dogs and assistance dogs) on all routes. There are two ways that pets can travel: in a kennel; or in your vehicle.

Can pregnant passengers travel with Algérie Ferries?

If you are less than 6 months pregnant, you can travel on presentation of a certificate indicating: Your personal data, weeks of pregnancy; that you are in optimal conditions to travel. Beyond 6 months of pregnancy, the opinion of the on-board doctor is mandatory.

Are there any restrictions when travelling to or from Algeria?

Panelled and glazed vans as well as those transporting people without passenger seats are prohibited. It is also prohibited to load goods and luggage on the roof of vans and passenger vehicles.

Anyone exporting a vehicle from Sete (to Bejaia or Skikda) must complete the customs formalities (EX1 form, etc.) with a forwarding agent, preferably in the days prior to embarkation. Under no circumstances can these formalities be carried out on the day of departure. Any vehicle destined for export arriving at Sete on the day of departure without these formalities having been completed will not be allowed access to the port of Sete and will consequently be refused boarding.
