More than 7 days before departure: €20
Less than 7 days before departure (day of departure included): €100
After departure and up to 30 days afterwards: €150
Beyond 30 days after the departure date: The ticket is neither exchangeable, nor modifiable, nor refundable.
Change of name and/or registration number
From ticket issue until one week before departure: Free modification
From one week before departure and up to 24 hours before departure time: €20
Less than 24 hours before departure: €40
Change of route
In addition to any fare difference between the original ticket and the new route, the customer must pay the following amendment fees:
More than 7 days before departure: €20
Less than 7 days before departure: €40
On the day of departure and up to 30 days after departure: €120
More than 30 days after departure: The ticket is non-exchangeable, non-changeable and non-refundable.
Refund Conditions (if the new route has a lower fare)
If the new route has a lower fare, the customer must still pay the amendment fee and may receive a partial refund of the fare difference (excluding fees), subject to the following deductions:
More than 7 days before departure: 30% of the amount (excluding fees) will be retained.
Within 7 days before departure: 50% of the amount (excluding fees) will be retained.
Within 24 hours before departure: 60% of the amount (excluding fees) will be retained.
In the event of a no-show, 80% of the amount (excluding fees) will be retained.
One month after departure (without a refund claim): 100% of the total amount (including VAT) will be retained.
Cancellation fees
The following cancellation fees apply when cancelling a Nouris Elbahr Ferries booking:
More than 7 days before departure: 30% of the amount (excluding fees) will be retained.
Within 7 days prior to departure: 50% of the amount (excluding fees) will be retained.
Within 24 hours before departure: 60% of the amount (excluding fees) will be retained.
In the event of a no-show, 80% of the amount (excluding fees) will be retained.
One month after departure (without any refund claim): 100% of the total amount including VAT will be retained.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, follow these steps:
Log in to your AFerry account.
Locate the relevant booking and select the "Cancel booking" option.
Submit your cancellation request. For Koala-protected bookings, the claim is sent to Koala for review.
Once approved, refunds are processed and returned to the original payment method.
Koala Protection: Coverage and Refunds
Koala protection is an optional add-on that provides flexibility for cancellations. Key features include:
Refund Percentage: Koala refunds 80% of the ticket price if you cancel within the specified timeframes. For example, a 548.00 EUR ticket would refund 438.40 EUR.
Cancellation Timeframes:
Koala Regular Flex: Cancel up to 48 hours before departure.
Koala Last Minute Flex: Cancel up to 2 hours before departure.
Limitations: Koala does not cover partial amendments (e.g., removing a pet or cabin) or non-refundable add-ons. If your booking has been amended, you cannot submit a cancellation claim. Koala’s "Cancel for Any Reason" feature allows cancellations without documentation, even for non-refundable fares. However, it is not travel insurance and does not cover trip interruptions or lost baggage.
