Transport of Vans in Algerian Ports (Effective 21 June 2025 to 15 September 2025)
As per Algerian Ministry of Transport regulations, vans are prohibited at Algerian ports (Algiers, Bejaia, Skikda) during the above period, except in the following cases:
Your outward journey has already been completed and you are returning to your country of residence:
You are authorised to embark from France (from Marseille & Sète) to Bejaia or Skikda if your van is registered in Algeria.
You are authorised to board from Bejaia or Skikda if your van is registered in Europe.
Proof to be presented when boarding: single ticket.
Vans with up to and including 7 seats:
You are authorised to board if you are travelling as a couple (in the sense of civil status).
or if you are a parent (father or mother) and are travelling with one or more of your minor children.
Presentation of the family record book is compulsory.
Vans with 8 or more seats:
You are authorised to board if you are travelling as a couple (in the sense of civil status) as parents and with at least two of your children who are minors.
Presentation of family record book obligatory.
If your booking with a van does not correspond to the exceptions mentioned above, you will be refused boarding.
For passengers who have already booked with such vehicles and who do not meet the above-mentioned criteria, we offer you the possibility of modifying your ticket free of charge or refunding it without penalty.

North African routes (Tunisia and Algeria):
Pedestrians must present themselves 120 minutes before boarding
Passengers with vehicles must present themselves 180 minutes before boarding

When does my Corsica Linea ticket expire?
All Corsica Linea tickets are valid for 1 year from the date of booking except for the 'Spot tariff' which cannot be changed or refunded.
Are Corsica Linea ferries operating as normal?
If you gave your mobile number when you booked, you will be informed by SMS if there are any changes, but you can also check the latest information about Corsica Linea's travel updates here.
Are there any luggage restrictions when travelling with Corsica Linea?
Foot passengers are limited to two pieces of luggage (suitcase up to 60 x 50cm) and one backpack. Prohibited items include motorcycles, bicycles, household appliances, and furniture.
Can I travel with my pet on a Corsica Linea crossing?
Corsica Linea permits passengers to travel with pets (including guide dogs and assistance dogs) on all routes. There is one way that pets can travel: in a pre-booked kennel. Cats and smaller animals should be in transport cages. Kennels are subject to availability.
What assistance does Corsica Linea provide for passengers with disabilities?
Corsica Linea ships are equipped with dedicated parking spaces, elevators, adapted cabins and toilets, reserved places in bars and restaurants, armchairs for passengers with reduced mobility, and braille signage.
What vehicles are eligible for the Customs Passage Title in Algeria?
Only tourist vehicles not registered in Algeria and making a temporary stay in Algeria can benefit from the Customs Passage Title (allowing entry into and exit from Algerian territory, as well as circulation in Algeria).
Are there any restrictions when travelling to or from Algeria?
Panelled and glazed vans as well as those transporting people without passenger seats are prohibited. It is also prohibited to load goods and luggage on the roof of vans and passenger vehicles.
Anyone exporting a vehicle from Sete (to Bejaia or Skikda) must complete the customs formalities (EX1 form, etc.) with a forwarding agent, preferably in the days prior to embarkation. Under no circumstances can these formalities be carried out on the day of departure. Any vehicle destined for export arriving at Sete on the day of departure without these formalities having been completed will not be allowed access to the port of Sete and will consequently be refused boarding.
